Hello all,

I recently have bought and installed a JVC KW AVX740 into my 2006 chevy silverado 1500. One of my favorite parts is that the truck had steering wheel control and I cant really find whatever I need to connect it all back up. Now the installation booklet shows that it is to be just one while that leads to the ``OE remote adapter``. Now I have noticed that a lot of the systems have a 3.5mm mini plug that connects into the head unit, which this model does not have. Does anyone have a clue or can help me with which module or if I just need to run the wire to a certain wire.. This has been bothering me for days and any help is much appreciated...

Thanks,

Scott

chances are if it does not have the 1/8 inch jack, it probably does not support a wired remote.

Bloody non-metric Americans, 3.5mm socket!

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

PAC has a universal steering wheel control interface SWI-X. I have used a couple of these, and have had no problem with them except if the sun is hitting on the IR a certian way its an iffy signal. The directions are real easy to follow for any application as long as your head unit has a wireless remote.
