I have a 2008 Cobalt, recently the power door lock just unlock as I am driving. Any ideals?

One of your front door motors needs replacing or repositioning, it will be a master i.e. physically moving the key or button locks and unlocks all the other doors. A micro switch either in the motor (5 wire type) or separate has gone out of position.

When you say the motor? I took the door panel off and check where the wires for locks are, is that the switch? Where would the motor be? I am brand new to this. I used to just pay someone to fix problems before, can't afford that anymore. Is this something I can tackle, I can build computers so I am fairly sure I can tackle. ------------- Gunnyhighway

Frankly no. If the motor is 5 wire if OEM, built into the lock mechanism and the vehicle has keyless entry, then removing the ground wire from both motors would cure it, otherwise we need about 5 ppagesd of explanations and about 3 months of training on a vehicle I've no experience with.
Your front door solenoids if turning a key in either front door locks or unlocks all the other doors are known as "masters" they probably have 5 wires, of these two will be a constant ground. When you lock or unlock the door either of those will read 12V+ for just under a second. These are the motor wires, don't touch them. Of the other three, one will either be a constant ground or a constant 12V+ that's the one to cut assuming you have a keyless entry which will still work. If not you are going to have to pay to have it repaired, or put up with it. The fact that you build computers, solid state electronics has absolutely NOTHING to do with motors and their operation.
