I will be installing a Viper 5301 with a Fortin INT-SL+ into a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country this week.  I've done my research and I have everything on hand.  I see the second starter is (-) through a 180 ohm resistor, looked at all of the wiring diagrams and ready to start.

A pretty basic vehicle. Only needing the remote start and door lock/unlock.  No power sliding side doors. Going to be the first vehicle involving resistors and just wanting to know of any tips or "watch out for this"  type of info from anyone that has done this vehicle.  Thanks.

Yes though you probably know this already, feed all those resistive circuits via relay, the outputs, don't have enough current to "push" through the resistors.

Did a 2006 Dodge Caravan a while ago (2004 - 2007 are the same).  Used a "key in the box" and relays for the MUX and one wire door lock system.  Very easy install.  The Bulldog Security site has very detailed pictures  :  https://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.asp  ( The Caravan pictures are more complete than the T & C pictures. )

While most recommend using a relay to isolate the Parking Light switch ( https://documents.audiovox.com/700726.jpg ) , I have done it as shown by Bulldog  :  https://www.bulldogsecurity.com/diagrams/extrainfo/diagrams/14301_CARAVAN_CHRYSLER%20PARKING%20LIGHT%20DIAGRAM.pdf  Had to increase the resistor value from 2k ohms to 2.2K for proper operation.  You must use a relay so you might as well do the isolation circuit wiring.

The Fortin bypass should make it very simple and only require relays for the parking light and MUX wire.  There is no Accessory wire ( or R/S Accessory ) connection for this vehicle, only IGN1 and Starter1.

Soldering is fun!

Did the install this morning. Only relay I used was for the MUX on Starter 2.

I also did the parking lights as described by Bulldodsecurity. Seems to be working ok.  Was a different install for me, using the bypass for the door lock/unlock, &Tach, and resistors.

But, followed all of the steps on the wiring guides and it fired up on the first try.   Only issue was the horn was not RED / Black as listed by Bulldog, so has to search for that one.

I wanted to connect the rear defroster but couldn't find any wiring guide for which wire it might be.  Might look at that at a later time. Center panel comes off easy enough.

I didn't think of looking at the Cavaran photos.

Smokeman, I'm being wise after the event I know but I hope Kreg's insight has taught you one of the first lessons of installation:-
Sorry to preach but if the instructions aren't there look to a similar vehicle!
Some examples in the UK, Some Euro Fords, Mazda 2 3 6 and some Land Rover's all share the same ignition circuitry,. Wiring for 200-09 Minis, BMW 5 series, as were Range Rovers at the time also Skoda, Seat and VW.

Not a problem Howie.  I should have thought of it myself. Someone mentioned it to me on a previous install I was working on and it turned out to be valuable information. I think it was when I was working on my sisters Explorer.   I did look at the Cavaran wiring guide and photos and they would have been helpful. The Cavaran horn wire matched up to this Town & Country, and also showed the airbag behind the under dash panel.   Some day it should sink in and stick.

I wasn't giving you words from the wise, more like bitter experience!
Been there, done that, the trick is to learn and remember the next time.
