I was looking for the wire diagram for a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant, the diagram I have says RED / black around ign. switch except there is no RED / blk and none of the wires test out, don't want to go to the dome light for future installs

Can you not use the door trigger wire for this ?

you mean the pin in the door? Wouldn't that only work for the drivers door?

There should be two places that grab all the door when open:

Under dash courtest light
YELLOW wire at the driverskick panel. 2 pin plug which connects to the door pin
