Hi
i need help with my duaghters system install,

The head unit has front and rear pre amp outs but no designated sub woofer out,

I have 2 amps, 1 x 4 channel amp for the fronts, and rear parcel shelf and 1x mono amp to drive the woofer, My question is how can I get the head unit to drive all this, My thoughts are 2 channels for the fronts and the rear channel with a split RCA cable, one side to the 4 channel amp and one side to the mono amp

What are your thoughts

Thanks in advance for you help

Just use either or front or rear pre-outs and feed to an amp with a built in crossover that will also run bridged mono. Many are available at all price/quality levels. Also, look up Armour Auto UK, page 212, PC1-615.

Use the 4 channel amp to run front and rear, use the mono amp for sub woofer and hope that amp has a switch to control base.

Does the 4 channel amp have a 2CH/4CH switch? Does the 4 channel amp have a set of RCA jacks labeled output?

In order to take advantage of STEREO, you must feed left channel RCA to both left speakers. If your amp has none of the things I asked about, you will have to buy 4 RCA Y adapters, and maybe a short RCA cable as well (The latter depends on the distance between the 2 amps)

I should have read the question properly.
If the main 1x 4 amp doesn't have outputs, then use phono "Y" adaptors, PC1-320 or 1 female to 2 male adaptors, PC1-2F page 210 same catalogue.

An easy cheap fix is just get a Line Output Converter and wire it up to the rear speaker wires (Grey and Purple sets) from the head unit and plug the Sub amp RCA wires into the LOC and use the Front and Rear RCA outputs from the head unit for the 4ch. amp.
