Having problems with  the start on this vehicle.  I'm getting a no start on the Omega excalibur al-2030 edpb. The siren goes off for 2 seconds and it shows no start on keypad.  Security and locks all work fine. I think I am dismissing a problem with the ring at this time because I cant even initiate a start sequence  with key in ignition or key against ignition cylinder.  Any help would be appreciated.

Check your wiring for the Passlock wire and the ignition wire. They may both be pink. You can also hold the key up to the ignition cylinder (perpendicular to the switch) instead of the ring to rule it out as the problem. If the vehicle doesn't crank, it is likely a problem with the Passlock portion of the system.

Did you find an answer to your problem?

I am getting the same exact thing with an Omega Excalibur 2050.
The unit makes no attempt to actually start (The ignition does not turn on and no attemp to crank is made).
As soon as I press the start button, I get a "NO START" icon on the remote fob. No lights flash on the vehicle. No status lights flash on the antenna. There is NO indication of why it wont start. It doesnt even attempt to start.

It is NOT in valet mode.
It is NOT in manual transmission mode.
It is NOT a problem with the the bypass (since the ignition never even goes live)

Thanks for any suggestions.

Do those units have an nss wire that needs to see ground. Or a toggle switch in the off position.

Are the bypasses flashed for that vehicle?

Yes, I have the bypass flashed, but I dont think that is the issue since the unit never even turns on the ignition.
There is NO attempt to start.

Basically, the moment I press the start button, the remote responds with the "NO START" icon. It does NOT actually attempt to start.
It is like it is in some weird mode where it is locked out.

Also, I have not installed a toggle switch.
I don't think there are any wires that need to see a ground.

Auto enhancers - thanks for your reply.
I re-read everything, and you are correct.
There is a wire (neutral safety wire) that needs to see ground for the system to function.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I have installed several remote starters, but never had one that required this connection.
