Hello and thanks for the great site.  I just found this yesterday and have gone threw it several times already!

I am doing a few new projects with a new 03 tacoma 4x4 reg cab and haven't found anything dealing with the wiring schemes for that year make and model.

Specifically with stereo H.Unit  harness wire colors scheme and the tail light connectors.  Are they both the same as the 2002 tacoma's?

I need help and no-one seems to have the info.

Hi langevin, you're welcome and thanks.

I believe it's the same as a 2002, but as always verify each wire with your meter before making any connections. If the colors are different, the polarity and location will like be the same as shown below and should help you locate the correct wires. If you do find any differences, please post your results.

Notes:
*1 These wires will test only by operating the key in the passenger door lock cylinder, not the rocker switch on the door.  *2 Vehicles without Daytime Running Lights it is RED / blue. Vehicles with DRL it is RED / green.  *3 The driver door trigger is green, the front passenger door trigger is GREEN / WHITE, and the rear door trigger is YELLOW /GREEN. Use all three wires and diode isolate each.  *4 On the 4 cyl it is at the data link connector to the right of the steering column. On the V6 it is at the igniter on the passenger fender, below the air filter box.

Hey 12 volt-Thanks to all your help and info.  The install was a big success!    My Reg Cab Tacoma now has all the bass it can handle paired up with the stock system.  Hell it will not win compititions but makes me quite pleased with the sound I get now.  It even turns heads when I drive by!
