Not too sure on this alternator. 220 amp Powermax USA 7644N is the best I can gather. We know what to do with the one labeled BAT and the one labeled GRD, but we're not sure about the one labeled R and the one that has either a 1 or |. Maybe its indicating to wire it to the BAT? I'll get a pic on here if I can later. I've been googling, but the best I can find is stuff talking about a 1 and a 2 connection. Then, I found something talking about R being 1 and F being 2, but it looks more like we've got a 1 and a R.

Let me know if I'm not supposed to drop links in here. I can't remember if this forum is against it.

One site says it's a "one wire" alternator. A "single wire" alternator usually refers to alternators with internal regulators that only require a single wire to the charge lamp (...in addition to the heavy batt+12V and case ground, but they aren't counted).

But elsewhere it seems that Powermax requires and external regulator. (A "3-step" regulator is often mentioned. Boy that's primitive! Modern regulators are electronic and fully variable - and usually internal.)

If it hasn't got an internal regulator, the connection (probably "R" for Regulator) else connections will be for the regulator.
Find out from whoever sold it to you.

Did that and they had a pdf on it. Looks like we're good. Thanks for the reply.
