hello i im moving my kenwood nav unit to my new truck and i dont care about chime, onstar etc. can i buy just the https://www.metraonline.com/part/CLASSII-100
to allow me to wire up my h/u? or do i have to have the gmos-04 interface? thanks!

That depends on whether or not the bose system is a premium system. If you rapidly turn the volume up, does the sound increase instantly? Or is there a gradual increase? If it is gradual, that means it is the premium system. The premium system does require the costly harness to provide the digital turn on signal to the amp. If the response is instant, you can use a 70-2003 harness. You will have to get switched power from the fuse box, or the air conditioner control piece. If you use the AC, make sure you get the wire that is hot when the key is on, and does not alter with the fan speed.

thank you, it seemed fast but i do have the premium bose, called gmc and they said if it has factory nav it is premium bose. im going to go with the gmos-04.

That is a great idea to use the gmos-4 as not upswing that piece would stop all the door chimes as well. This could potentially be an issue as disabling these chimes is altering a safety device. That may be an issue if you were ever in an accident as that would give them grounds to deny a claim. Just food for thought for anyone to read this in the future.
