HI everyone this is a bit of a long shot

im looking for the pin dimensions for the doors on the Nissan 350z 05 model

reason for this i want to run cables into the doors but the only way people seem to do this is by drilling out the unused slots on the Door Multi-pin block and running cables through. This doesnt sit well with me i would rather use up the available slots and put my own cables in so the Multi-pin can be disconnected etc should the need arise

Anyone know the pin sizes or where i might find the info falling short of taking the whole thing apart to measure the dimensions

You could just add Male/Female spades or similar(quick Dis-connects) shortly after the wires pass thru... You probably could hit up a bone yard/pull-a-part and de-pin a harness. I like the pin idea, but it seems as other options would work well, too.

Here is a used harness out of an 2003: Item number: 180938830419

I didnt take the time to see if it is compatible... Just a thought...

Radio Shack usually has some decent Molex Plugs, Quick-Disconnects...

HIya been hitting the breakers on-line lately trying to find somewhere that will just give me the connectors so aiming for the totalled cars but they are still asking for over £80 per side as its the loom

i have accounts with lots of suppliers for the Electronics trade but don't want to order 1 of everything to see if it works lol

think i may have to take the door pin apart

the problem with fitting a quick disconnect after the main connector is that both of these are bolted to the chassis so it would mean having the cable just in the loom but still wouldn't allow the door to come off easily etc

What are the odds against a nice T bone and the door having to come off anyway?
Not worth the trouble IMO.

Yes... Not very high probability of door coming off. If door does come off, release the dis-connects on both sides, probably 10 seconds. It sounds like you've got it, though... Cheers!
