i am looking for the remote start information for a 1979 c10.  specifically the NSS wire.  i am running a viper 5900 and looking to see which wire i need to hook the BLACK/ white wire from h3/2? to.  i thought it would be on the NSS but none of those wire meter correctly to provide a ground.

If my memory serves me correctly, you may find the wire at the base of the steering colum near the inside of the firewall. It will show ground in park or neutral and open in any other gear. If it isn't there, check in an open area if the engine will actually crank in drive. Put truck in a very open area with losts of room ahead of you and the transmission in Drive and put your foot on the brake. Try starting the engine. If it doesn't start, you can just ground the BLACK/ white wire from the remote starter.

Not needed if you're installing an R/S and the vehicle is an auto.

The nss wire is needed as I wired my starter kill into the starter wire after the nss switch. There should be a wire that shows ground when in park or neutral. I have two wire going to my back up light switch and two for my starter. None of those are a wire that reads ground. I know how to wire a relay to invert the signal I just can't beleive there is not a wire that grounds when in park or nuetral on a gm vehicle.

Starter kill.
None of the above is required, it's built in!
Cut starter wire, green to key side and violet (purple) to motor side.
That internal relay often failed on 5901s so here's the work around, relay and 1N4004 required.
Orange GWA to 85.
Ignition, spur from pink to 86.
Cut starter wire, key side to 87a
Motor side to 30.
Diode from 85 to 86, band to 86.
Connect your black white to the wire going to the reverse light, hot on 12v+ with ignition on and reverse selected.
Will disable the R/S if someone drives to drive the vehicle away via hot wiring, as soon as they select reverse.
