hey man i recently bought a 06 chevy silverado lt and the stock wiring harness has been cut, so now i have an aboundance of colored wires. ok so i tried your diagram and nothing,what is the plus and minus sign for? if somebody could offer advice please help
the wires match up according to your diagram, other tha i have two orange wires, onle larger than the other, and i also have a another harness that has about 6 wires on it also.................

Both of the orange wires should be constant 12 volts. I seem to remember that OEM deck having an input for the amplifier section, and a separate input for the clock/memory circuit.
Use a meter and verify that they both have constant 12 volts.
Is there a bose logo on the doors or on the A pillar?

You are correct boss. I put a meter on them lastnight, and they were. But it's non bose audio. It does have an extra adapter, but I think that has my volume speed control and others in it. That harness is intact and contains but 6 wires. I tried hooking the
Red
Constant from radio to larger orange
Yellow from radio to smaller orange
And no power. It was grounded.
Checked my fuses and none have popped

You must run the radio yellow to the larger orange. Run the radio red to a switched 12 volt source. There are a couple places to get this, one is off of the A/C control just below the radio. I do not remember the wire color there. The other location is the fusebox located inside the driver's door jamb. It is a 10 amp fuse in the top right corner of that fusebox.
Was there constant 12v on the orange wires? Or did you just confirm that they were electrically connected to each other? If the latter, you have a blown fuse in the fusebox under the hood. It is in the corner of the fusebox and is labeled RADIO.
You do not need that second harness to install an aftermarket deck.
Got her on. The smaller orange isn't doing anything. My radio works if I put the red and yellow and the orange from the truck. But doesn't go off when I open the door. Thus, I need to find my accessory wire. I really don't wanna start cutting at the wires below the radio on the ac. If I knew which one controlled the lights on the heater/ac then I'd hook it up
