Hi Guys,
I just installed a RS7G4 with a ADS DL into an 03 Pontiac grand am. The DL was supposed to operate the doors but it’s not working. Tried different flashes but nothing. So now I will have to use the RS to operate the doors, but this is one of those single wire systems that call for a 1500 ohm resister for unlock. Do I have to install relays or will the RS handle this without them? It should just be a negative pulse I believe?

John

I would use relays.

I did a Grand Am of that model ( with a V6 )  using the ADS DL with the ADS DL GM1 firmware and the door locks worked fine.  It even did the trunk release although it wasn't listed as a supported feature.

Soldering is fun!

You could just tag the relays for locks. The are in the fuse box.
