I am trying to install a viper 211hv 1 way alarm/keyless entry. Currently a single press of the unlock button unlocks and locks both doors. I have type f door locks and have tried the dual relay setup I found on this website to no avail. This and a single relay setup I found on another viper installation manual both open and close both locks with a single press. Also, my horn doesn't beep when I press the close button. It's directly connected to the horn. Also, do I need a relay for the interior light to go off after opening the doors? I'll press the open button, and the lights will stay on until I hit the close button while I'm inside the car. What other information would somebody need to help me? Recommend I photograph everything? Is this a common problem? Any information would be helpful. Thank you all in advance. Also, any fun things to use the auxiliary button for or cool things I can wire the alarm to do?

With the Viper 211HV you shouldn't need external relays for the door locks.  Try this wiring shown
below.

H1/5   GREEN/ BLACK LOCK #30 COMMON OUTPUT           cut ORANGE / Black to vehicle
H1/6   WHITE/ BLACK LOCK #87A NORMALLY CLOSED       cut Orange Black to door
H1/7   VIOLET/BLACK LOCK #87 NORMALLY OPEN (INPUT)          Not Used - insulate
H1/8   BLUE/BLACK UNLOCK #30 COMMON (OUTPUT)      To H1/6 thru 1N4001 diode ( stripe towards Viper )
H1/9   VIOLET UNLOCK #87 NORMALLY OPEN (INPUT)       Chassis Ground
H1/17  BROWN / BLACK UNLOCK #87A NORMALLY CLOSED          Not Used - insulate

For the Dome Light Supervision, try this :
H1/3   BLACK/ WHITE-1 INPUT OF DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION RELAY #87      Chassis Ground
H1/4   BLACK/ WHITE OUTPUT OF DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION RELAY #30     RED / WHITE  (-)  AT COURTESY LIGHT

Are you sure you are on the correct wire for the horn?  It should be H1/12 Brown to :
HORN      GREEN / WHITE (-)         @ STEERING COLUMN HARNESS

Other important wires to connect :
H1/1 Red     to +12V constant   WHITE (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
H1/2 Blue     not used
H1/10 Parking Lights          ***Set Viper to (+) ***  to RED / BLUE (+) @ BACK of DIMMER SWITCH
H1/11 Black    very solid Chassis Ground point
H1/15 Yellow           to BLUE (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

I wired it up exactly as you wrote and now both lock and unlock buttons work but they do the same thing a single button would do before lock and unlock both doors.

Not sure I understand your current condition / problem.

Just a thought ( I have never used a Viper 211HV ) but on the Directed 451M door lock module, the Violet and Violet/Black relay input wires are joined and go thru a fuse.  While this isn't shown on the 211HV install gude, if this is the case, you must cut them apart and wire them exactly as shown above as individual wires.

Here is a link to the Directed 451M Install Guide :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=726   See Page 5 for the Type F wiring.

Kregg, I think he's trying to do priority unlock.
You'll need to find him driver door motor wire.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

You could be right, Howard.  Hopefully the OP will provide clarification to his issue 'cause I'm still confused...   posted_image

I appologise for the confusion and thank you both for your help. I'm attempting to just use the unlock and lock buttons. I have separated the two purple wires because they were joined as you had said. Regardless, when I hit the "unlock" button on my remote the doors still unlock for a few seconds and then lock. This occurred with the lock button before too [unlocking and locking] but now it seems to be working fine.   Also when I put my key in the ignition and turn on the car, the doors unlock and lock. I assume its rooted at the same problem as the remote.

Getting closer.  H1/7 should be left un-connected.  The diode on H1/8 is over-kill and can be removed.

Two things :

First an error on my part.  Viper H1/15 should go to : BLACK/ RED (+)   @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Not the Blue wire I listed previously.  Sorry, it read "Accessory" in the install guide diagram but the
actual wire description is "Ignition" in the text.  This should fix the issue with the door locks when
you cycle the ignition key.

Make sure all of the Vipers option programming are still at the factory defaults.  Specifically features
1, 2 and 3.

All connections should be soldered and well insulated.  The Chassis Ground connection should be
with a soldered on terminal ring to clean, rust free, solid metal.

I put a diode on GREEN/ black and another on blue/black and rejoined the purple wires and now everything works oddly enough. Thank you so much for your help. I wired everything up your way and the issue continued.
