Hey all,
new guy here, wondering if any of you know the wire color for the illumination on a 2012 Corolla S, I had a buddy install a new Kenwood DNX6190HD, not sure if we/he did the illumination, the radio doesn't dim at all.
Not a major thing but it does kind of bother me at night lol, but before I tear it apart to check, Id like to know what color wire Im looking for.

You cut the plug off of the factory harness? If you did, and can not find the info you are looking for, it is probably going to be the only wire of the car that is not connected to anything. Use a volt meter to verify.

no it the plug/harness was not cut. The radio just doesn't seem to dim, maybe its me lol

The illumination wire on the harness you purchased will be ORANGE / white.
