 Hi all,
I'm attempting to install a Kenwood after market deck in my grand am se and found a number of extra wires in the harness from the dash that are not mentioned in the wiring diagrams I've been able to find. I'll list what colours are coming out of the car and hopefully someone can help figure this out.

 black+white stripe
dark green + light green (x2)
 Purple (x2)
 Solid black
 Orange
 Pink
 light grey (x2)
 Brown (x2)
 Dark Blue and Light Blue
 Tan
 Yellow

 Factory Stereo OEM: Delphi

Please note there are a total of 6 speakers in the factory setup. 2 in the rear, and, 4 in the front. 2 in the doors and 2 smaller ones behind the mirrors. If someone could give me run down on the specific functions of each wire, I'd appreciate it.

Please note, If I wasn't clear before, I'm actually looking for a wiring diagram that covers all the wires that are in the factory wiring harness for the stereo.

Is there a tan and grey next to each other? Is there a Dark Green and Light Green right next to each other?   Is there a Yellow and Brown right next to each other? Is there a Dark Blue and Light Blue right next to each other?

Your car will not have a switched 12volt source. Are you changing the radio? If so, and you have not already hacked off the plug at the end of the factory harness, do not do that. There are some very affordable wiring harnesses that will allow you to change the radio without cutting the plug off.

Dang it!!! Already hacked the plug off. is there a way to put it back on or a way to direct wire it?

Ok, so the good news is, I got the stereo all wired up and it's getting power. the bad news is, it won't actually turn on. the CD drive will accept and eject cds and the security light comes on as it should when I remove the face plate, but, the unit will not play anything and the display will not turn on. Below is the link for the manual for the stereo. I was wondering if sombody could take a look, and let me know what needs to be hooked up to what on the car or if the stereo is dead and I just wasted my time?
Link for the manual, (wiring is on pg 26,) :

Thanks in advance for all your help!!
