 Looking for help with my 2000 F150, I have an Avital 4103XL remote start kit as well as a PKALL bypass module.  I looked though the forums and found my vehicle wiring diagram, I see a wire location for factory disarm, but not one for re-arm.  
 I am also confused about wiring up the door locks to work on the avital FOB.  Do I need to wire in multiple relays for door locks and for the factory alarm arm/disarm?
 
 I could also use some clarification on using a diode in the circuit.
 
 I have extensive automotive wiring background, but no experience with installing a remote start system.

 Does your F-150 have Factory Keyless Entry or NO Keyless Entry?
 I take it your truck has a Factory Alarm?  If so, I believe it re-arms with the lock. Did my sisters Ford Explorer with a factory alarm and only had to do the dis-arm wire.

 Correct, my truck has factory keyless entry, through some more research and looking on fords wiring database, I realized that my truck does not have a wire for re-arm.
 I am starting the install now, I have the kick panel and knee bolster removed to expose the wiring, but the weather has turned to crap, so now I am at my kitchen table pre stripping and labeling the RS harness.

 Your F-150 should have Type B locks and the Avital Lock/unlock wire will connect directly to the wires on the truck.
In the downloads section of this site is a Door Locks DF 1041 that may help:

 Take it one wire at a time, test with a DMM, double check, solder, tape, and move on to the next wire.

 Bulldog lists your truck as having two Ignitions and two Accessory, if so you will need a relay with one of the (-)200mA to drive one of those outputs.

 My Avital R/S  has a primary and secondary ignition and accessory output in the harness.
 As far as the door locks are concerned, I am glad that I can wire directly to the lock wires, and I have the right location.  My issue is how do I wire the "wake up" for the GEM module.
 
 From what I understand, after ~45 minutes the GEM shuts down turning off accessories, disabling my ability to use the Avital FOB to unlock the doors.

 Father in the law has 00 f150 and I didn't have to wake up the gem and Didnt connect second accessory wire

 Yeah, I found that out as well.  I guess they started the wake up feature in 2001, just like the document says.
 Anyhow, the system is installed and functioning.  I appreciate everyone chiming in and helping me out with getting it installed.  If I had to do it over again it would probably only take 2-3 hours instead of the 5-6 that it took me.

 Not bad, 5-6 hours. First one I did was my 2000 Taurus. Took the whole weekend!
