Hey Everyone,
I was thinking of installing door poppers for my rear barn doors so the people in the third seat can get out. I wanted to hook the door popper to a switch locate close the the third row seat. The one major thing I want to do is hook up a relay so that the button is only active when the car is in park. Just do not want to have the passenger hit the button and open the door while the car is driving.

Hi,
Schematics show at the stoplamp switch a light GREEN/ black wire.
This wire should have power with the ignition on and the vehicle in park. The circuit is for the shift interlock. Have this wire power the relay coil (term 86). The popper button can switch a ground to term 85.

When you say The popper button can switch a ground to term 85. Do you mean I should hook the negative on the popper to the relay?

No, have the one terminal of the button connect to ground, the other to the relay. the contacts (term 30 and 87) of the relay will connect to battery power and the door popper respectively. Negative of the popper will connect to ground. This lets the button carry low current, and the relay carry the high current needed to operate the popper.
