Hi Guys,
I am in the process of upgrading my VS Holden Ute's dash to a full Autometer setup.
I also will be replacing all the warning lights on the dash. Some warning lights are an easy voltage trigger that I can just plug a LED into. However there a some that are resistance based. These warning lights have me stumped for example.
Would a Relay setup be the best for the below -
- Oil pressure indicator lamp - Resistance - engine off continuity, engine running open circuit.
- Park Brake indicator lamp - Resistance - Park brake on continuity, Park brake off open circuit.
Then there are some ohm triggered
Fuel empty indicator lamp - resistance - 283 ohms empty 40 ohms full
( I do still have a Autometer fuel gauge but would like the warning lamp)
What circuits are out there that can help with these warning lamps?

Park brake resistance? It's simply switch ground then off.
Why don't you ask Autometer to help.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Autometer have helped with specs regarding to the gauges.
However as the warning lamps are not activated or linked to the gauges its not related to their products.

I need to recreate the factory circuits which activate the warning lamps.
I do have a spare dash cluster, I will have to see what I can frankenstein the circuits.
I do have a copy of the workshop manual regarding the triggers and wire placements that connect to the factory dash cluster if anyone is able to help recreate the triggers for the warning lamps?
