I have a 96 Honda Civic DX Hatchback with the OEM stereo. It's fine, but I don't want to use the cassette adapter for my CD player. There is a dash pocket for an OEM ad-on CD player, but they arn't available from the dealer anymore and they run almost $200 aftermarket. I need the cd player umbilical pinout, most importantly the left channel, right channel, ground, and "signal" (indicates to the head unit that a cd player is attached so it will allow the user to switch to the CD function). This would be a much more efficient route into the stereo than the cassette adapter or an FM modulator, as well as a nicer touch. Thanks for any and all help on this.

thanks! the only thing to do now is to pull apart the dash and find out how the cassette changer interfaces with the head unit. fun fun.
