HEY JEFF,

WHAT TYPE OF DOORLOCK SYSTEM IS THIS? RELAYS NEEDED? ANY INFO ON TACH WIRE FOR REMOTE START? WILL SPILTING THE WIRE FOR BOTH START WIRES BE FINE, MAKING A Y SPLITER? AND WILL THE DOMELIGHT SEE ALL DOORS OR IS THERE A NEED FOR DIODE ISOLATION? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP JEFF. THAT LAST BIG HEADACHE THAT I HAD WITH MY BONNEVILLE WENT GREAT! ALL INFO YOU PROVIDED ME WITH WAS PERFECT TO THE TEE!posted_image

  • This is a negative type A system. No relays or diodes.... just two wires to hook p and your done.
  • The tach signal must be taken from one of the injectors. Any one of these are good:
    • BLACK/ RED
    • GRAY/RED
    • BLUE/RED
    • PURPLE
    •  if you have a tachometer in the gauges you can use the BLUE / ORANGE
  • Yes, making a "Y " splitter for the starter is exactly what I would do.
  • I am assuming that the car has power door locks, so for the door trigger you need to use the
    • RED for  the drivers door at the time control module or SECU
    • RED / WHITE for the passenger door at the time control module or SECU

Good to hear that the information was good for the Bonneville. Good luck with the Nissan and please post your results.

HEY JEFF,

THANKS FOR THE INFO AGAIN. I WILL BE POSTING THE RESULTS IN SEPTEMBER AS I WILL BE INSTALLING THIS INTO MY SISTERS CAR WHEN I GO ON VACATION OUT OF STATE.  I'M JUST GETTING ALL INFO TO BE READY AND MAKE SURE THAT I HAVE ALL THAT I NEED. IS IT DIFICULT TO HOOK UP THE SUNROOF TO OPEN AND CLOSE? OHH WOULD IT BE SAFER TO DIODE ISOLATE THE TWO WIRES FOR THE DOOR TRIGGER?

THANKS

I would suggest using a window control module for the sunroof and for the doors, it wouldn't hurt to diode isolate the wires from each other. The worst thing would be that they would do nothing.
