I bought a new 2016 f250 super duty XLT with the base stereo that has sirius,cd, Bluetooth, and that crappy sync. I want to upgrade to another FACTORY FORD stereo. With a touch display. What ones will be a plug and play swap. I could go with the aftermarket but then i need to install a module to keep the sync and Bluetooth and factory chimes. Prefer to stay factory. But if I could find an aftermarket stereo that has all those options and it's simply plug and play and does not need the aftermarket module i would consider it.

Thanks!

OEM radios are locked to the vehicle, you would have to go to a Ford dealer to have it programmed to work. All OEM's are doing this now if your vehicle doesn't have the option code enabled you have to pay Ford to add option to your vehicle in their system and then pay the dealer to re-flash the vehicle. Same goes for OEM power mirrors power heated seats and the like even if the wiring is there the computer won't turn it on. No more buying the base model and getting all the bells and whistles from a salvage yard and having them work.
