Hi, I found the wiring diagram for 2015, 2016 Camry in the database but not sure if it's gonna be the same for 2017. It'd be really helpful if anyone can share the one for 2017. Or if it's the same, could anyone confirm it?

I don't think it's matter but I'm gonna use the idatalink AL-CA module

2015 through 2017 are the same as far as iDatalink shows for the regular H key models.
Just follow the ADS AL-CA w/ADS-AL(DL)-TL9 firmware install guide and Type 1 diagram.

Remember that the ADS AL-CA must be flashed with the correct firmware ( ADS-AL(DL)-TL9 )

What is the difference between ADS-AL(DL)-TL9 and DBI-AL(DL)-TL9? When flashing, there was no option for Viper 5706V (which I'm using) so I pick 5906V which leaded to DBI version. Could there be any problem? Or just stick with ADS?

Ah, you're using a DEI product ( Viper ) with the ADS AL-CA. Yes, you need the DBI flavor of firmware to go
D2D between the ADS AL-CA bypass and the Viper R/S unit. DEI products require the DBI comm protocol to allow
proper D2D data transfer. Like Fortin, iDatalink bypass modules have the ability to communicate to a wide range
of R/S systems from various manufactures with the proper selection of ADS or DBI communication protocol firmware.

Edit: one more question: is the #8 Violet ((+) Accessory Output) from Viper Remote Start Harness necessary? I did
some research and some connect it to accessory wire in vehicle's ignition connector) while some don't.


Minor correction to a possible typo :   The thick Accessory wire at Pin 8 is Orange, not Violet.

I would follow the iDatalink install diagram and not connect the Camrys' Accessory wire. The test will be to
see if the needed heater, AC and fan functions work during a remote start. If they don't you can add the Viper
Accessory output wire to the cars Accessory wire at the main ignition harness. The Vipers default programming
has the thick Pink/White wire set to Ignition2 so you can use that for the Camrys Ignition2 wire. You will
need an external relay to power the Camrys Starter2 wire.   You can use the Vipers Violet/Yellow (-) Starter
wire at Pin 21 of 24 to control the external Starter2 relay. Remember to connect all three heavy Red and Red/xxx
fused wires to +12V constant.

You were right. I meant 'Orange', not 'Violet'
Everything went as expected. Only one small thing, I remember there is an option inside the viper to turn off the horn (use the horn only for full alarm, not replacing the chirp when lock/unlock). Is it function 10 of Menu 1? If it is then something's wrong because I set to 'Full Alarm Only' but the horn still works when lock/unlock.

Yes, the Horn function feature programming is Menu 1 Feature 10, as noted below for your 5706 :

Menu 1 Feature 10, Options 1 through 5
Horn Function    Full Alarm Siren Function Siren Function    Siren Function    Siren Function
……….…………Only            20 ms ……... 30 ms   ………...   40 ms   ………... 50 ms


Option programming can be difficult with the remotes. Using a BitWriter will allow you verify
any changes.
