Trying to install an Alpine plv 7 with high level input . Anyone have a clue of the color coding of the rear deck speakers ? I have a green and yellow on the left and light green and blue on the right . I don't wanna speaker pop to figure out my neg and pos

right rear blue - light green +
left rear   lt green - yellow +

33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!

Thank you ! I also think I'm going to run the loc rather than the speaker level input . With the speaker level input I can't turn anything up at all on the amp without it clipping . Any advice on that ?

yeah with the loc it will have adjustment so the amp isn't being over driven. If doing high level inputs the amp is talking the decks power (usually 17 watts) and amplifying that. With the the loc you can turn down the input to better match the amps input (2-6 volts common). So your not amplifying a amplified/distorted signal. I never use high level inputs except on alpine power pack
