have you determined which fuse the drain is associated with? Do you have an DMM with a 10 amp setting? Is there an aftermarket alarm on it equipped with starter kill?

Multiple shorts, beginning to look like gem (bcm) module

The GEM is known to have issues. The windshield leaks, the GEM gets moisture in them. Strange operation occurs. Actually F150's, Expedition's, Navigator's all have the same issues.
