Have the Prestige APSSECRS remote start/keyless entry & security system w/ Prestige PE2LCDZ 2 way RF Kit, Flashlogic FFLCAN module, and iDatalink ADS-TBSL-VW1 transponder override. Appears to require can high can low, starter +, ignition + input/output, accessory + and 2 wires at the ignition for transponder override. Any wiring info, esp anything related w; the clutch bypass and what to do with that much appreciated. Ty

NOTES
NOTE #1: the VESCM, (Vehicle Electrical System Control Module) is the RELAY BOX, Under the DRIVERS DASH.

NOTE #2: this vehicle uses a 1-WIRE DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM, that Requires Extra Parts for operation. See DIAGRAM. The use of Bypass Module DLPK-CANBUS MULTI will do the ANTI-THEFT and DOOR LOCKS without the use of relays and resistors.

NOTE #3: the DDCM, (Drivers Door Control Module) is located in the DRIVERS DOOR.

NOTE #4: for the PARKING LIGHT FLASH option, it will be necessary to break the HEADLIGHT Switch OFF wire, BLACK/YELLOW (+), located at the VESCM, (16-PIN PLUG(E), PIN 16.

NOTE #5: to DISARM FACTORY ALARM (if needed) Requires a (-) thru a 250 Ohm Resistor on the GREEN/WHITE (-) wire, requires resistor and relay. TEST this wire while turning the KEY in the DRIVERS DOOR.

NOTE #6: when using the TACH wire, use a BROWN/BLACK, BROWN/WHITE, BROWN/PURPLE or BROWN/GRAY, they all test (AC)

Appreciate the summary. I gave it a shot today, started off with the ADS-TBSL-VW1 immobilizer bypass with two stage KLON flashing in data mode. Utilized the ADS-THR-VW1 T-harness that duplicates and splits out both the VECSM and transponder wires, for a no splice install, appears to have worked. Allowed me to do the soldering inside for the few wires required- immobilizer bypass only needed two wires- ignition + and transponder bypass, which was a plug in fit using the T-harnesss. Provided ground connections to siren, plus two seperate 12v+ and one 12v+ accessory connections for the APSSECRS module, along with starter and ignition. Took about 30 minutes to copy the key, quick and easy. C

After KLON programming completed, added FLCAN to handle the OEM locking/ alarm/ data system. FLCAN connects via data cable to TBSL-VW1, which connects directly to the APSSECRS remote start/keyless entry module w/ another data cable, no hardwiring required. FLCAN only needs three wires in data mode- can high can low and ignition +, all of which were provided by the T-Harness from the VECSM duplicated port, no factory wiring has been touched so far. FLCAN successfully flashed and programmed within 30 minutes.

Synced both 2-way Prestige 1 mile range RF keyfobs to APSSECRS, another quick and easy step. Used Blue Sea Fuse panel w/ #8 ring terminals for all 12V+ and ground connections, still have open terminals on fuse panel for powering relays to dashcam, V1 radar detector, and RGB lighting. Tap a fuses used for any switched power source to the relays.

Unit does not remote start yet- have to figure out the specific steps and module settings to flash for APSSECRS module programming, probably will need to use the clutch bypass wire at the brown BCM with the light blue GWI connector from the APSSECRS, will probe that with my multimeter tomorrow to determine exactly what voltages that wire provides to allow the engine to start, might have to wing it without a clear step-by-step guide, as Voxx techjitions found zero mention of the clutch bypass in their entire resource database. Fortin's resources pages, Wirecolor, are the one and only solid visuals I've found that address that. 24 hour pass for $2 was money well spent to screenshot relavent diagrams. Anyone successfully completed the process on a manual trans GTI? Never attempted anything like this before, still learning.

Started remote start/security install after completing a stereo upgrade, another first time experience, 2 months on and off w/ countless late nights, acquiring new tools and replacing parts each step of the way, as I learned things like how not to remove a window regulator interior door panel. Component Focals all around, 100% OFC pure copper wiring from KnuKoncepts, JL Audio and Stinger used for all power, ground, speaker and RCA cables. Rockford fosgate and KnuKonceptz ground and power distribution blocks, battery terminals w/ a RF cap, big three wiring upgrade and multiple fuse holders at the battery helped replace every single component of the OEM audio system, supply adequate clean power to JL Twk-88 DSP, Alpine Type-R 4 channel amp & Alpine mono amp @ 500w RMS to dual 8" Type R DVC 2-ohm subs in custom ported & tuned LABS enclosure, final wiring @ 2 ohms. USB powered silent 3" fans keep both amps cool & discreetly hidden under ventilated 3/4" MDF amp rack I put together and upholstered to efficiently utilize hatchback space and blend w/ OEM upholstery. Sound dampening high density rubber w/ foam over installed on all doors 7 hatchback surfaces effectively silence any embarrassing rattles. Alpine Android Auto headunit ties all that together. Felt ready to attempt security system once I managed to get the crystal clear, well balanced high res audio I was looking for. MY neighborhood has a crazy crime rate, so I need genuinely need the best security system I can install myself, if I have any chance of enjoying my audio setup for more than a few days.

Could you upload the Prestige APSSECRS installation manual?

Does your Prestige APSSECRS module have a feature called "Remote Start Ready Mode"?

if your Prestige APSSECRS module is designed for manual transmission vehicles, you will need to connect the E-Brake wire of your car to the remote start module. A specific procedure has to be followed to activate "Remote Start Ready Mode" so that you can remote start your car.

Please do not attempt to bypass the clutch of your car if the Prestige APSSECRS is not designed for manual transmission vehicles.

Found the Prestige APSSECRS installation manual: https://sc.voxxintl.com/docs/common/APSSECRS/APSSECRS_IM.pdf

turn to page 13: Feature 10: Transmission Type; enable "manual transmission"

turn to page 19: Manual Transmission Mode (Ready Mode) Note: A connection to the vehicle's parking brake and tach signal (Analog or Data) is required.

Edit: no need to connect the Parking brake wire, the FLCAN handles the parking brake status and tach signal through Data.

If I only had a nickel for every post I've read warning about the danger of remote start installs for manual trans vehicles without any information that's actually helpful, I'd probably have about $10, maybe $11. Not helpful. Yes it has remote start ready mode, any google search of the model would show that. To address the actual issue, being able to remote start the car without being present to press the clutch, which was not addressed, I found one and only one product seemingly designed for that specific function. Custom harness made to order by an eBayer in England, a bit pricey at $50 shipped, but as the only product of its kind, I just paid the $50 and waited 2 weeks for it to arrive. Will be installing today if I have time, report results. Called the "Push Clutch To Start Bypass Harness (VW Audi Seat Skoda VAG Clutch)", installs in the engine bay, 5 wire harness can be found behind the battery.
