Hi,
I have a 13 silverado 4 door lt. It is a 5.3 basic model. I am wanting to add remote start without spending too much. I have an older model astra unused in the box. Or i have thought about purchasing some kit on Amazon that somehow starts it by hitting the door lock 3 times...
Anyway, i installed an astra on my truck i had before this one, a 96 Silverado. I was impressed with its range. But i did it quite awhile ago.
Can some one help jog my memory of what wires need to be connected for basic operation? Door lock/unlock, remote start, no starter kill, no fancy functions...
I am on medication that makes me sweat profusely. It would be nice to be able to turn on the ac before getting in the truck.
Any help is appreciated!

Some of my confusion is that attached information for wiring. There are several door lock unlock then there are lock motors, etc....

You would connect directly to the door unlock motor leads if you wanted to do a driver's door priority unlock. You can use the lock/unlock triggers to lock/unlock all doors at the same time.

Is the deball 2 thing necessary?

It doesn't have to be the DBALL2, but you will need an immobilizer bypass. Check Fortin, DEI, idatalink, etc.
