Can anybody inform me where I may find the reverse wire on a
97 Toy 4runner and the color of the wire for a camera hook up?

Directechs has nothing listed for the reverse light wire for that vehicle. It will be one of the 2 wires going to the reverse light socket. Your camera probably has a red wire on each end of the harness. Catch it at the light and connect the front end of it to your radio's reverse trigger wire.
