So i just purchased a used 2017 Promaster City base model. Not steering controls and all. I wanted to add a head unit so I can do Android Auto. I got a cheap Atoto headunit and a basic hardness https://a.co/d/cx7iQrb
I know they make a I Datalink hardness and Maestro kit but it is more than what I paid for the Atoto headunit. This is just a work van and just want something cheap and basic. The hardness i got gives basic connectivity, I just can't find a diagram for the following but I can't find them.
- constant 12 volts
- dimmer for ilumination
- I think hardness gives me switch input
- Reverse signal for aftermarket camera

Pin A7 (red/black) should be constant. Pin A4 (blue/light green) should be switched. Dimmer and reverse signal are not in the same harness.
Rather than dimmer, it may be easier to use the illumination wire (positive parking light wire). The left front parking light wire shows yellow/light green at the BCM (C4/pin 56 I think) or right front shows yellow/grey (C4/pin 54 I think). It's pretty blurry. Or the yellow/black at any of the clearance lights would work.
Alternatively, you could use a relay to convert polarity from the switch (green/black negative).
Left reverse lamp wire is white/light green at the BCM (C5/pin 31 I think). Right reverse lamp is grey/light green at the BCM (C5/pin 1 I think). It's pretty blurry.
There is not a switched 12 volt wire in the OEM radio harness. Do you see that bundle of red wire that comes with the harness you posted? You need to find a switched source somewhere. The cigarette lighter will be a good place to look. You run that red wire from the radio's red wire to wherever you find a switched source.
