How do I use a multimeter to check if I am on the correct VSS wire? (2003 GM vehicle dk green/white wire). Thank you

No reading stopped and increasing AC voltage as speed increases.

The signal is a pulsating DC voltage. Most meters will read it on AC volts, some will read it as DC. Try both
