Hi all, I'm working on a 2004 Toyota Matrix trying to upgrade the head unit and speakers.
I'm trying to get solid info on how the stock system is wired to upgrade appropriately. It is the XRS trim and has 6 speakers. I cannot find any solid information on if these had separate amplifiers or not. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this year of the Matrix that shows how its wired?

If you download the instruction manual, it says the amp is under the center console.

That is a helpful lead. I looked under the seat, definitely nothing there, but I'll need to check under the center console.

Get this and you will not need to know the wire colors
If you insist on finding the wiring, look for 2004 pontiac vibe. Wiring will be the same
