anyone know how to incorporate a dvd player into the nav screen on a nissan murano?

Try emailing the folks at AVElectronic and asking about their NAV->DVD conversion.  Basically it adds 2 sets of A/V inputs and also has a built in fm modulator.  They sell a "universal" version as well as a "plug and play" version so I'd imagine you should be able to figure out something that would work for you.  I emailed them a while ago about doing this with the G35 and they were very helpful and quick to respond to my inquiries.
