In my '94 F-150 XLT, the wiring harness that goes to each door speaker (both doors)is ORANGE / green and grey/white. Comparing that to what is supposed to be there, itappears that there should be a WHITE/ green wire for the RH door. It looks like bothfront speakers were wired in parallel (from the factory) - I've not seen this before. Thetruck came originally equipped with the standard AM/FM cassette radio and 4 speakers. The rear speakers appear to be wired per the normal standard. The radio speaker harnesshas a WHITE/ green wire in it but I can't find where it's terminated. Any ideas? Obviously, having the fronts wired in parallel like they are now is not what I want.

yeah ive seen that before,,,i think it has to do with the fact that ford used to sell 3 speak systems were there was one speaker in the middle of the dash and 2 rears. I think they probably switched over to 4 speaker system but had decks in surplus so just wired em a little funny to make it work...so all you need to do is run 2 speaker wires...take about 15 minutes.

I found the wiring error. Ford changed wire colors at the passenger door harness disconnect, located under the kick panel. The WHITE/ green wire and the BLACK/ white wire were present on the main harness side. The interfacing connector had ORANGE / green and BLACK/ white going to the speaker itself. It also contained the wire pair for the in-door courtesy light. I suspect that Ford probably ran out of harnesses for that side and simply substituted the one for the driver's side in lieu of since the lengths are essentially identical.
