On all of the wiring diagrams and information I have read, The parking Lights conection is supposed to be a brown wire (+) at the switch (on the collum). Well, I have found that this is not true. In my Grand AM 03, There is no brown wire connecting to the headlamp switch. Also, the wire I found coordinated to the parking lamps seams to be an orange wire, third from the bottom of the harnas, and what's more, It appears to be a (-) triggered relay connection (I predict this because I blew a fuse testing it)

If anyone else has run into this and already knows the right answers, please share it. Otherwise I will post my discoveries when I finish my installation.

You won't find a brown wire coming off of the switch on the stalk for the parking lights. From what I remember there is a gray/black on that stalk harness that you could use for parking lights, but I wouldn't. You can find the brown wire you need in the drivers kick panel. There will be 1 or more harnesses running parallel to each other going into the firewall. You want the one that is on top of the other one. You know you have the right harness if you also see your thick red (constant), pink (ignition), yellow (starter), & orange (heater) wires in there. If so, your looking for a brown wire that gets 12 volts when you turn on your parking lights so test accordingly. There will be a bunch of brown wires in there so you may not find it right away, but test them all don't just put 12 volts to them and see if the park lights come on! By the way the horn wire black (-) is also in that same harness with your parking lights and power wires..Also since the ignition cylinder isn't located in the steering shroud, there is no reason to get any wires from the steering column or shroud. Hope that helps good luck,

Mike
