I am looking to wire up a radar detector in a 1997 mercury mountaineer, I am wondering where is the best place to wire it to for the power? On previous cars I've just used an accessory slot in the fuse panel, but i didnt see anything like that on the mount, I've been considering splicing into the ciggarette lighter.

just grab it from the ingition wires, fused of course

the main 12 volt wire is yellow, there will be two of them

incase you need it, the ignition wire is Light GREEN/ purple
