I am in stalling a DVD Nav unit in my 2001 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax. I have been searching the web for a couple of days and have been through most everything here...no definitive answer to where the VSS wire is...

This is the best I have found so far:

VSS Wire: Location 13 factory cruise plug position K.
VSS Wire Color: GREEN / WHITE

can anyone verify or clarify exactly where I can tap into for the Nav System?

Grn/wht at driver front quarter blk 24 pin connector position 3.

VSS wire is also available at either the radio plug or the instrument cluster. Same color dark GREEN / WHITE. Test with a meter for continuity. Using either of the these wires saves running through the firewall.
