I am having a problem with the "Security" light coming on after the installation of an Omega FS-4LX remote start module.  I own a automatic 97 Chevy camaro with the 3.8 liter v6 engine with an Alpine SEC-8068 alarm and have the factory alarm system bypassed.  I have not had any problems with the car or the Alpine alarm until I added the remote start module.  The alarm still functions 100% correctly.  I have installed the module using the proper resistance for the VATS and I used a relay so that the car can be started by the remote start and a key with the proper resistance chip.  The car will remote start, and start with the key correctly about 90% of the time, but the rest of the time, the yellow security light comes on both while I am driving and before I start the car.  When the light comes on before I start, I am unable to start the car until the light goes out, and sometimes the light continues to come on several times in a row.  If I leave the remote start unit connected to the VATS wires, I have this problem both when the unit is on or off.  Only when I disconnect the remote start module from the VATS wires, I have no problem.

Has anyone come across this problem, or know where I can find any helpful tips?  Thanks in advance for any information.
