I have a Autopage RS750LCD remote start alarm system on a 1988 Olds Cutlass Supreme.  I'm trying to locate a connection on my car  for the tach sensor wire.  Can any body help me?

If you can get to an injector you can use the negative side.

OK, according the Haynes auto repair manual for my car, There is a tach wire coming from the distributor cap (even though I do not have a tachometer).  My ignition coil is built into the cap.  Would it be good to connect the wire to the tach  or should I use the negative wire coming from the ignition coil itself?

It should be a white wire at ignition coil/distrubutor.  Test for AC voltage with a multimeter -   .5 volts - 1 volt at idle.  Voltage will increase with throttle.
