Hi Folks,

I was hoping someone could share some knowledge. I need the location and color for the VSS wire on a 2004 dodge ram 1500. Thanks in advanced for all efforts.

For a 2003, 5.7L, (no info. available yet for 04), im showing a dark GREEN/ YELLOW wire on pin 13 of the PCM (located on right side of firewall). It also joins up with a wire of the same color that goes to the ABS controller which is located in Left Rear of engine compartment. Give that a try and let me know.

YO Tracker, Thanks for the reply. I found the wire shortly after posting the original post. If you are interested, here's the location and color of the VSS.

VSS Wire: ECM- RIGHT GREEN CONNECTOR POSITION 32, MANUAL 3 CONNECTOR ECM BLACK CONNECTOR POSITION 13
VSS Wire Color: AUTOMATIC LT. GREEN / WHITE or GREEN/ BROWN, MANUAL WHITE/ ORANGE or GREEN/ YELLOW
VSS Pulse: AUTOMATIC 38,600 MANUAL 8000
VSS Tach Wire: IF MANUAL TRANSMISSION USE CLUTCH SWITCH 250-4206
Tach Signal Wire Color: WHITE/ BLACK
Brake Switch Positive: PINK/BLUE
Brake Switch Negative: WHITE/ TAN
