I am looking for the VSS wire for a 2000 VW Passat GLX 4motion. The database does not list the VSS. I am assuming it connects with the Transmission control module but I do not known the color or pin location. Any info on what color and pin number and where to find it inside the passanger compartment would be greatly appreciated.

Try this, it's from Siemens VDO info.

VW Passat Variant (Mod. 97)1997 1595cc 74 ABS, AC
Remove cover on the left of dashboard then remove cover under steering wheel column. There is a blue 32 pin connector at the rear of the instrument cluster. Pin 3 carries the signal. WHITE/ blue If radio connector (ISO) is available please use Pin 1 in chamber 3. Caution: Don't switch on ignition when the blue connector is pulled off. The airbag symbol will appear, and a reset by a VW-dealer will be necessary.
