Can someone tell me if I've located the correct tach wire.  On the passenger side of the engine, 3 wires forms a plug which is plugged into the control module (i think).  WHITE/ black (tach), white, and some other color.  I need to know if this is the correct area.

Thanks

  • The tach wire is the WHITE at the ignition coil.
  • Ignition Coil And Distributor Module Both Located On Passenger Side Of Engine
  • Vehicle is equipped with PASSLOCK II Anti-theft system.
  • Ignition #2 PNK/WHITE or WHITE Powers the PCM in the Vehicle and Must Be Active in Both " Start" and "Run".

Seems like you installed the CS423 on a 2000 Blazer before.  I also went to your web site and you also have it for sale.  Anyways, I do a have few more questions if you have the time.

1.  The brake wires seems very difficult to get to.  Especially to strip.  I only have a few inches of wire that I can see much less get both hands in.  How would you recommend stripping these?  I was thining about using a cigarette to melt the sleeves off.  I am very worried about screwing things up.

2.  Where is the best place to run the tach wire through?

3.  Where is the best place to mount a siren?  I bought a separate siren for a quiet chirp instead of using the OEM horn.  12voltshop.com told me I need to buy a relay for it to work.  I assumed the connection would be the same.

THANKS JEFF
