I have a 97 gmc sierra extended cab truck. I bought new 4x 6's for the rear, but I'm having trouble taking off the panels for fear of breaking something. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Should I post this in the car audio forum?

remove rear seat,clothes hook and front seat belts from side panels, remove the top trim piece that runs across the back(on headliner)by CAREFULLY pulling down on the center of this piece first you should be able to slide one side out at the time (there are tabs that slide into each side panel that holds the ends of the center piece up) once that is done its just a matter of removing any other screws there may be left(under ash tray in each arm rest)
