I've got a 2004 Volvo C70 which I'm going to attempt installing a Pioneer Avic-N1 all in one am/fm/cd/dvd/navigation unit in. I know this vehicle has not changed since 1999, and I know it has dolby surround w/center channel and a factory amplifier. Has anyone done an aftermarket unit in one of these yet and if so any info such as wire colors, adapters, bypasses, etc would be greatly appreciated. I called Metra and they were no help.
Thanks,
Matthew

Thanks for the direct info, but unfortunately all it tells is constant, acc, and ant. My partner and I got the rest figured out though.
For anyone out there in need of the info it is as follows:
12V constant - RED / Black
12V acc - Yellow/Violet
Ground - Black
Power Ant - Blue / YELLOW
VSS - Yellow/Black
Center Channel + Pos - Blue/White
Center Channel - Neg - Blue/Black
There is a factory amplifier in the trunck on the drivers side. There are 3 din cables going to the back of the radio. One is the CD Changer, one is the dolby processor, and one is the Amp. You will need to use the din cable that goes to the amp. Figure out which one it is and cut it behind the radio. You will need 4 RCA ends to solder onto the cut din plug.
The wire colors are as follows:
Blue - Not Used
Grey - Remote turn on
Purple - Right Rear +
Green - Left Rear +
Red - Right Front +
White - Left Front +
The shields are the grounds and must all be combined together as common ground system.
Hope this helps anyone else out there who gets one of these beasts.
Good Luck
