I am looking for a switched 12v supply around the rear view mirror that I can use to install my fuzz buster. All I have found is a constant 12v from one of the home connect harness wires. While this does work I prefer my detector powering on when I turn the car on. I know I will forget to turn it on manually. If the car had the sunroof controls near the sunroof I could use that, but of course it's to the left of the steering wheel. If anyone can help that would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I had thought about that...... but I was worried because of the pillar bags. I don't want to attempt to slip a wire behind the piller for power. I figured there has to be a switched 12v somewhere up in the map light area.

I just ordered all the manuals and will look when they arrive. I have this mirror on my 2004 Accord Coupe V6.
You can also go to:
https://www.handa-accessories.com/accord/04-mirror.pdf for 2004 Accord or
https://www.handa-accessories.com/accord/03-AUTOMIRROR.pdf for 2003 Accord
and get the installation manual that shows how to route the power cable for this mirror through the pillar. That should help.. I have to do the same thing for my Valentine one.
It's funny you mentioned the V1. That is exactly what I am using! Anyway I thought I found a wire that would work. It is 12v when the key is on and then turns off after you take the key out and close the door. The only problem is when you turn the headlights and the LED courtesy light comes on and the voltage dips below 12v. If you could find out about a good source that would be great!
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Mimic2g,
I have the automatic mirror installed and has a wire that it is powered with the key on.. But it has it own wiring harness installed.. That power is available at the connection block just above the fuse block at the left drivers kick panel.. I do not have the books yet but expect them next week.. I will see if there is anything already up in the head liner area when I get the books.
How are you going to mount the V1? Elevation is the key in getting the earliest warning. So the higher the better. I was thinking of using the suction cups and mounting it above the mirror just to the right of the mirror mount but I have the compus sensor there which most likely will mess up the direction.. The next place would be on the visor with the clip coming on from the front but the visor has a bit of an angle and the V1 would not be level.. I have to work on this a bit.
I am mounting my V1 the same way it was mounted in my previous car, above the left side of the rear view mirror. I have gotten hit with lidar from the front and back and it picked it up fine, of course I was going the proper speed at the time. Once I get the windows tinted no one will even know I have a detector, which will keep the people from following me. You have to check this out! https://www.kustomsignals.com/products/pdf/product_21.pdf
I would hate to run into these guys!
