For the Love of all things sacred I cannot find the stereo wiring diagram anywhere for a 2001 Ford Excursion.  I would assume it is the same as a 2001 Ford F-250, but I am not sure.  I have been having alot of trouble with my amp in my truck.  I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me the stereo wiring diagram.  For the record. The trouble I am having with the amp is taht I am running an  Alpine MRV-1005 V12 Expert amp from a factory head unit (cant afford my new head unit yet).  The 600 watt amp is getting good power and a good ground (i know this because I even ran a ground wire from the amp all the way back to the battery and still didnt work).  My power is good, ground is good, and remote is turning it on.  But, the amp will not work.  Although occasionally when I turn my key to the acc. position the amp will kick on and work great, until I start the truck then I get nothing again.  I can put the amp in my buddies car and it works great, just not in mine.  Another question.  I am using a line out converter to run RCA cables, but I was jsut wondering should my amp turn on and off with the radio?  I noticed when I turn my radio off the amp stays on until I turn teh key completely off.  I thought the point of a remote wire was to turn the amp on and off with the radio. please correct me if I am wrong.  Well thanks for the help in advance.  Peace and humptiness forever.

Have U checked to see if the Amp turn ON wire is hooked up to radio??  Sounds like it isn't.
Have U checked Turn ON wire at Amp or Main Wires at Amp with a meter?
If your Amp is turning on and U get NO sound, U can Unplug RCA's and test RCA's also.
Sounds like a Power problem.  Ground, 12 volt + Main, or Turn ON
