Okay It goes like this. Girl tried to install a stereo in her 2000 Saturn SL herself, and messed it all up. She clipped her stereo harness, and then threw it away, with the stock stereo. She's got a Dual brand stereo now. I did this.

I can't get the driver side door to put out any sound, and the rear driver door only puts out this high static sound. I've checked connections, and re-soldered all of the wires I hooked up. I can't figure it out. On top of all this, I have three extra wires, which I don't know what to do with.
Orange(Thicker Orange wire)
Copper
Brown
I've substituted the black car ground with the copper cable, and it works the same. Please help me. I haven't had stero trouble like this ever. I don't want to do it, but I'm moments away from re-wiring the entire stereo system. Thanks.
Allright, Thanks. But what about the other orange wire? Should I hook up the dimmer and dial wires to constant, or switched power? The speaker connectors in the door, for the 6 1/2" speakers are f**ked up. I tried to run new wires to them, but the connectors don't work, so I had to bypass them into the actuall coil/speaker copper wires. I seriously hate this car, but like the girl. It's a really weird speaker setup. There is a 6 1/2" and a 1" in each door, but the 6 1/2"s in the front were wired to the rear speakers. So the only front sound that was coming out was from the tweeters. It really pissed me off. So I'm gonna redo all the speaker wires, and get the thing right. Saturn has a hell of a complaint coming to them.
