I am looking for the wiring diagram for this vehicle. It has an amp that needs to be bypassed. I need to know the constant power wire color, the ground wire and the switched power wire at the head unit. I also need to know the speaker wire colors. I am installing complete system and no one has been able to give me the info I need without charging me. I also need to know the best place on the firewall to place 4 guage power wire through. ------------- Loyal, '03 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

Get a DMM or light tester and check for these three wires. Simple and cost effective.

I will have to do that. I was looking for the simple way out. I am changing out the speakers now so I will know the speaker wire colors from the speaker plugs. I will put it out on the net when I am done so the next person doesn't have to suffer.

Nice looking car. I like your grill work. My car is the steel blue metallic version. I think I will go with a black mesh grill. What other amenities does your car sport? I am just getting started. I have had the car for about 3 weeks, so I will need a little time. Thank you for the great information. Did you wire your car speakers from under the passangers seat or did you run new wires. I am probably going to hook my amps to the speaker wires under the passangers seat, where they come off of the factory amp. My receiver also has an illumination wire. Do you happen to know what color factory wire that will have to hook to? One other question? Where did you come through the fire wall with your Power Wire. I am using #4 guage and the space is tight up there. I have an idea but could use confirmation. Once again, thank your for the info. ------------- Loyal, '03 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

yoyo Radio Illumination - GREEN/ white For the 4 guage, there is a perfect gromet sorta down behind the master cyl and you can poke a hole into that and go right through there and youll end up above the gas pedal way up there in the firewall. There is a white plastic cover youll want to remove to easily access the gromet from the inside. You can also go through the drivers side fenter, there is a black started gromet that is REALLY easy, youll just have to take the plastic inside the fender well on the front left off to access it. Then you can run it down the left (drivers side) kick. I didnt have the premium sound, but I ran new wires throughout....probably easier and faster then trying to catch wires here and there, but its your call..... My car...oy there it soo much to list.... Here is some 18inch qteks lowered 1.5 (eibach pro kit) ST Sway bar Adjustable tokikos (Rear) CLEAR LIGHTING everyewhere (front, rear, 3rd prake) intake exhaust Grillcraft Wings west bullet wing Pained Mirrors tinted windows
STEREO :) Its now MORE finished, with a new version solo and trim work totally completed.....I have my directed amps flushed as you can see in vinyl.....I didnt do anything but a straight up box even though I wanted to do a tirewell cause I though if i ever wanted to put stull in my truck I can simply take the box out....it does the trick! HOPE THAT HELPS...I LOVE MY ECLIPSE IF you couldnt tell! :)

Nice !! I would still go with the sub in the spare tire well or even fiberglass it into the side of the trunk for a more finished look.

I am on vacation right now but can't wait to get home to my car to finish the system. I will place pictures on the net. I built a sub box out of fiberglass and MDF to fit in the right side of the trunk in the deep sidepanel. It was my first time but it worked out well. I built a false floor for the 3 amps I am installing. It has a cover that I cut out the Mitsubishi diamonds from and placed plexiglass. You can see through the plexi see the amps where they light up. I have three Audiobahn amps I am using. I have the whole thing built, just need to put it in and wire it up. Do you have any other wiring colors I need to know? I think I am set but, you never know. I am ordering an Injen cold air intake and I think a Greddy exhaust this week. I am not sure how far I will go but that is the start for now. Like I said, I will place pictures of my system on the net when I put it in this week. Once again, thank you for the info! ------------- Loyal, '03 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

pop off the 2 silverish caps on the actual bandle....under there are 2 10mm bolts. Then remove the screw in the door handle which youll see, one more on the side of the door when its open, and also there is a screw by the mirror....which you will find with the door open as well. I think thats it.....5 total......see what you come up with....but that should do it....if there are more youll know anyhow....dont forget to umplug the windows/locks.... The rear...youll have to pop off the shock tower caps in the back and there are screw there....lots of clips and a few more screws when you fold the seats down...just one by one remove....youll see..i think there are 5 total there...
All from memory of course......but h0pefully that helps a bit good luck...

There is a screw in the door handle you have to remove. Then slide the plastic forward. Remove the screws and pull at the bottom. It will pop free. One thing I would suggest. If you remove all of the rear panels, pull up on the middle back panel, if you pull out, you will break the panels hooks. Pull straight up, do not pull toward the front of the car. You may want to remove these if you are placing sound deadening materials throughout the car. There are five total screws on the rear side panels. One as mentioned at the top of the shock tower. One at the base of the shock tower, two on the sides you will see when the seat is pulled forward, and one deep, just under the speaker grill area you can only find when you remove the back seat base. Remove these and pull. You kinda have to fight the seatbelt a bit but you can easily get access. If you want to remove the plastic panels at the floor board area at the bottom of the doors, there is a single screw at the front. You will want to remove the screw before you go pulling. Removing the receiver is easy. Two screws at the base of the middle plastic covering and pull. You then have to remove the screws to the receiver itself but that's it. Have fun. ------------- Loyal, '03 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
