RKE battery low come up on display on IPC.  Anyone know what causes this is it the just that there is no key in the ingtion barrell during remote start.  I would like to know if anyone has any ideas.

Rke Battery comes on because the key isnt in the ignition when the car is running on the remote starter. When I do these cars i take the battery out of the key and put the remainder of the key in a immobilizer bypass unit. For some reason the engineers of this car thought it would be a good idea to have a battery monitor built into the ignition cylinder of the car for the battery in the key. Good luck if the car has automatic head lights. I tried different combonations of resistors on the low voltage wire on the ignition harness to try to get them to function properly but I had no luck. The customer has to turn the healights on manually or he has to restart the car over with the key so they will work automatically.
