I just wanted to know what I'm supposed to do with red "switched power" wire from my Alpine head unit. The stereo installation info says to connect it to the yellow "switched power lead," but my grand am '01 doesn't have a yellow wire. I'm really confused. Please help.posted_image

did you connect a main power lead to your head unit already?  If you did, this wire may be used to power a power antenna or amplifier.  Try checking the audio wire specs for your car to see if you have a power antenna option or not.

Hey  vboy13,

Darn right it doesn't have the yellow.  GM eliminated acc wires from their harness.  Go to the brown acc wire from the key for your switched power source. posted_image
