I'm trying to find ignition-hot power. There's an empty connector just above the brake pedal that has what looks like always-on power. It has (I think) 12 pins. Black appears to be ground, and orange is +12v. Other pins have nothing on them (as viewed by a voltmeter). Anyone have a diagram that shows the pinout for this connector?

Ignition hot is pink in the ignition switch harness. If you are doing remote start be sure to also power the white wire.

Yep Jim I can here it is. Chevrolet | Trailblazer | 2002-2003 |
Remote Starter Wiring Colors and Notes | Function | | Vehicle Color | Location | Start: | | YELLOW | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS * | Ignition #1: | | PINK | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | Ignition #2: | | WHITE | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | Ignition #3: | | BROWN | **** | Accessory: | | ORANGE | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | Brake Light: | | WHITE | AT SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL | Tach Signal: | | WHITE | IN BLUE PLUG AT THE ECM ON DRIVER'S SIDE OF MOTOR | Parking Lights: | | BROWN (+) | DRIVER'S KICK PANEL | Headlights: | | | | Diesel Glow Plug: | | N/A | | Clutch Bypass Wire: | | N/A | | Notes: | | * This Vehicle Is Equipped With GM's PASSLOCK II Anti-Theft System; Use Universal Alarm Bypass Module or Vehicle Specific Bypass DTI #23545 ****All DesignTech remote starters except the 2xx22 have an ignition 3 output - it is the WHITE/ black in the 'control harness.' This wire will be used to control the bypass module, if needed. This wire will require a relay for the Brown (ACC)wire. |
Chevrolet | Trailblazer | 2002-2003 |
Alarm and Keyless Entry Wiring Colors and Notes | Function | | Vehicle Color | Location | Constant +12 Volts: | | RED | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | OEM Alarm Disarm: | | LT. GREEN (-) | INSIDE OF DRIVER'S DOOR AT MODULE | Dome Lights/Superv: | | GRAY/BLACK (+) | UNDERNEATH DASH AT COURTESY LAMP | OEM Horn: | | BLACK / YELLOW (-) | STEERING COLUMN HARNESS | Power Lock: | | SEE NOTE BELOW *** | CAUTION - DATABUS SYSTEM | Power Unlock: | | SEE NOTE BELOW *** | INTERFACE MODULE RECOMMENDED! | Trunk Release: | | N/A | | Alarm Input Wire: | | GRAY/BLACK (+) | UNDERNEATH DASH AT COURTESY LAMP | Notes: | | *This vehicle uses an extremely complex lock/unlock circuit. To Lock/Unlock, we recommend use of the 23561 Door Lock Interface module, available through DesignTechs sales department at 800-337-4468 . Alternatively, you can wire inside each door for reverse polarity door locks. The 23588 module is easier to install, less expensive, and requires less wiring than the reverse polarity/relay method. Motor Wires, should you choose the reverse polarity method, are Gray for Lock and Tan for unlock. SOME of these vehicles have a switch on the right rear panel which can lock/unlock all doors as a positive trigger system. If so equipped, the wires are Lt Blue for lock and White for Unlock. Connection of the locks without the module is not supported. |

I have a 04 trailblazer that unlocks but doesn't lock. We are using the GMDAA. Tried to change ground and power sources, harnesses, and the unit. Also grounded the lock input wire to see if we could manually trigger the arming. But nothing. We are STUCK! I've read another post about how there are differences for different trailblazers?? Any help will be appreaciated!
